So I just bought a new laptop (Lenovo Yoga Pro 2) and it doesn't have a CD drive. I want to install sims 3 which I have already bought the disk for. Is it possible to install it that with the disk or do I have to buy the download?

You can register the game on sims3.com (if you haven't already) then you can get it as a download from origin. Just log on using your sims 3 info.

Make sure your game is registered. If you have a registered sims 3 disc then it comes with a free digital copy of the game that you can download from your origin account. If you don't have an origin account then register one and use the same info that you use for your sims 3 account (to link the accounts, and because you most likely registered your game on sim3.com, so linking will make it easier for your registered games to appear on Origin account). If you already have an origin account then log into your account, click My games and download the game. This is the reason to register all of your games. Happy simming!
