Curious if you are really really sure it does have a cd / dvd drive ( a lot of laptops do not come with one… A door or what looks like a door will be there, but there will be no drive )…

Lenovo at their web site will have the needed drivers for your make and model of your laptop…

In device manager… Do you see a cd / dvd drive listed? If so do you see a red X or a yellow? If you do not see a cd /dvd drive listed… Either you need to get the needed drivers or you really do not have a cd /dvd drive

It is a design feature only. There are no c/d disc drives inside, just an empty compartment. I'm not sure if it has some other function. I doubt it. The main connecting socket on the Lenovo pc's are also sub standard. No pass marks here.
