How to remove the keyboard to a Lenovo g505 laptop?

My sister spilled juice over my laptop and my engineering teacher told me that i need to remove the keyboard and clean inside to make it work again but i can't seem to figure out how to take the keyboard off.

Like the previous answer, to take a laptop keyboard out, you really have to take most of it apart. By looking at youtube videos for your laptop you'll see you have to take out all the screws, prize the bezel off (part of the case just underneath the screen on the main part of the laptop) then you'll be able to get the whole case off.

Just make sure you make note of which screws go where, not joking. Really do this. If not you WILL end up with missing screws.

Taking a keyboard isn't easy on a Laptop.

You can watch lots of tuts on YouTube on how to do it, but it's pretty hard, you gotta remove the battery, hard drive, fan on the side, and then access the keyboard. There's so much stuff covering the keyboard.

Laptop repair is piece of cake. Don't be afraid of it. Just watch some youTube videos and download the service manual of your model and you are good to go. It's a fun skill that will benefit you down the road for years to come.

Now, laptop keyboard soaked with juice is done no matter how you wash it because the keys will be sticky. Spend $20 and buy a new one off eBay or some online store.

Here is a link to the service manual, best of luck
