I have a Win 7 Vista Lenovo Thinkpad T61 from some company that came without an operating system and all that, my question is, how do I get/put Windows 7 Vista Business on this laptop somehow because I don't have an os disc, but I do have a product key for this os.
additional info: I currently installed Windows 7 Home Premium using an Acer restore disc that I made earlier that didn't require an os product key, and now Windows is telling me: "this copy of Windows is not genuine"
It is because the windows is a copy and it is not genuine you have to buy a genuine windows from Microsoft and which version of windows do you want vista or 7 cause 7 is the successor of vista and they are not the same if you want it for your work you can buy windows 7 enterprise
The vista product key won't work for win 7. The simplest way is to buy a windows 7 OEM disc off eBay about £25, you can get them with a genuine product key and it will run your computer fine.
