How to wipe my Laptops Hard Drive? Help?!
Added (1). Like I said. Its a Lenovo Y50 ThinkPad laptop. Windows 8.1
It's a Lenovo y-50 think pad. It has Windows 8.1 on it and I need to wipe the hard drive. I don't have anymore copies of Windows. How do I wipe it?!
If it is still in the laptop then the laptop normally comes with a factory recovery partition, wipes thje hard drive and reinstalls the operating system to out of the box condition
Update your post with make and model and operating system and we can be more specific as each model is different
Thanks, this link should help

If by wipe you mean you are wanting to reset it back to factory settings and make sure no data can recovered afte, then follow these instructions.
Make sure you back up all your files before doing this.
If your resetting a lappy, make sure you have the AC adapter plugged up. You do not want this process interrupted. This should take one or two hours. It is best to check on it to make sure everything is going fine.
If you can boot into Windows, click on start and then open your control panel. Then click Action Center, then click recovery. Then click on Advance recovery and select return computer to factory conditions. Answer any question and the system should reboot. Answer a few more questions and then it should go on autopilot and reset your system back to factory conditions.
If you can't boot into Windows then try Advanced boot options. When you press the power button, start tapping the F8 key. You will see the advance boot menu. Select repair your computer. (This option is available only if the tools are installed on your computer's hard disk.) Select your language and then enter your user name and password. Then click on (brand name) factory Image Restore and next. Answer the question and it should start the recovery back to factory settings.
Recovery from the BIOS/UEFI. My preferred method.
When you press the power button start tapping the F12 key for your puter and that should open the recovery, answer the question and the recovery should begin. Depending on your puter this will take one to two hours.
After running your system recovery program and reset the laptop back to factory settings. Now run defrag to make the drive as compact as possible. After you have done that you will want to wipe the drive to make sure nothing can be recovered from the areas that have not been overwritten by the recovery program.
You need to download CCleaner from Piriform and install it. Once you have it install, open it and click on options. Click settings and look for secure delete. Set it for advance overwrite (3 passes). Below that you will see wipe free space drives, put a check in C drive. Also put a check in wipe MFT free space. Close CCleaner.

Open CCleaner and click on run cleaner in the bottom right corner. It will start the process. It is going to take at least 24 hrs but it will remove everything from the hard drive that you have uninstalled or deleted. When it is done make sure that you go back to options and settings and remove the check from the C drive in wipe free space drives.
Once you open the hard drive and expose it to the air, its pretty much screwed. Usually you are required to be in a special room where its is very clean and no dust available and then use a clean cloth to wipe it. Putting any cleaner liquid on it will ruin it.
First of all if you just want to cover your tracks, just install and run Ccleaner
