When I restart the laptop the sound will start working again but after a while you have to restart again. It is Windows 8 and the driver says Conexant SmartAudio HD and Intel(R) Display Audio. Both are saying up to date. Anybody have any ideas?
I bought a Lenovo G500s about 6 months ago. Recently the audio has been all of a sudden not working?

Seems like more of a software issue then hardware. Try to check its updated driver from official website or try to contact some computer guy.
