I need a new laptop for audio editing and good overall sound (including bass). I was researching about the Lenovo ThinkPad T510 which has FireWire, 7200 RPM, is TI 1394 chipset compatible and 4 GB RAM which fits the specs I require for a audio-specialized laptop. But I have noticed that many DJs use MacBooks and that the Pro used to be compatible with FireWire (don't know if it still is with the Retina model) but believe that Mac OS has it's own specifications an limitations which might outnumber PCs'. I'm confused, :'( someone suggest me with a more thorough spec comparison or if that doesn't cut it, someone suggest me another kick-*** laptop built for cutting-edge audio performance. In that case, the laptop should fit a budget of not more than $1300.
