Is this a decent laptop for the price for a college student?

It has Windows 8.1, Intel 4th generation i5 processor, 4gb RAM, 500gb hard drive (apparently it's a hybrid hard drive not sure if that makes it better or not), 1920 x 1080 display.

I think the screen size is perfect, and I like the ability of having the 2-in-one style, but do you think that it's very useful/worth the price? With a discount I have i'd be able to get it for around $700… Does that sound like a good price for this laptop? I'm looking for it to be portable and good to take to college for writing notes, papers, streaming movies and music, etc (not a design major where i'd be using Photoshop all the time and i'm not a heavy gamer either). It has a better display/screen that most of the other laptops i've looked at. I know there are laptops with 6gb and 8gb of RAM, but 4gb seems like the most common and i'm not running that heavy programs/games so wouldn't it be good? The only thing is that it only has 2 USB ports but I can always get a usb hub or something for that. What do you think?

If you can get it for $700, I think it's a pretty good deal for what it offers. If you are looking for the most affordable college laptop, there are i3 machines for $400 but not in the same league.

If you aren't going to be gaming, you shouldn't need to spend more than 500 for a decent laptop. And, that might be pushing it.
