Laptop charger only works in certain positions - What should I do?

I definitely need to either get it repaired or just purchase a new charger altogether. Does anyone know which option might be cheaper and quicker? And if I do have to buy a new one, how would I go about doing that? I'm not really sure if I want to get one off of Amazon or anything like that, so would I be able to get it off of the laptop brand s website or something?

My laptop is a Lenovo Ideapad S400 Touch, if anyone was wondering.

Lenovo Ideapad S400 Touch power adapter is $9.99 at amazon.
It will be more expensive if you get it directly from lenovo.

You can get replacement chargers off amazon

It is not economic to repair unless it is something like a frayed cable internally you have some DIY soldering skills to solder on a new jack.
All this assumes it is the charger and not the DC socket in the laptop that is at fault
