Lenovo Laptop internet only works for Ethernet?
Added (1). My Wi-Fi is switched on and i have tried public Wi-Fi, still don't work. My Wi-Fi works fine for other laptop and phones, just not this one. If i plug it in to Ethernet it works fine. I get a Wi-Fi connection it's just 2 to 3 bars and i'm only a few feet away.
i have a Lenovo ideapad n580.
Is the Wi-Fi switched on? Does Wi-Fi work for other people, has it ever worked? Have you tried the laptop in public Wi-Fi spots such as McDonalds Starbucks, does it work there
Try powercycling the router and laptop, update your post with further details of model of router and of laptop and what you have tried to resolve the problem

Try updating the driver on the laptop for the wireless.
