Lenovo ideatab microsd card problem?

I just bought a 8GB PNY microsd card with an sd card adapter. I have a Lenovo Ideatab, the model number is IdeaTab 12107A-F. The android version is 4.0.3

I can put the microsd card inside of the adaptor and use it on my laptop just fine. I have formatted it to fat32 and exFAT, both quick and full formatting. I used cmd to check the sd card for problems it didn't detect any. When I put the micro sd card into the microsd card slot it says that the sd card is damaged. I again try to mount it and it does nothing for a while, then once agains pops up with a notification that the sd card is damaged. I tried formatting it straight from the ideatab, but when it finishes, or whatever. It still says that it is damaged. I'm not sure what to do at this point.

May be your memory card is corrupted. The first thing you should remember is not to write anything to the memory card as it might overwrite the existing data. Insert the memory card to the adapter and plug it to your laptop.

Follow the steps listed in this link for some solution to resolve the issue (http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-recover-data-from-a-corrupt-memory-card-or-usb-drive/ ).

If its corrupted heavily, you need to use some of the data recovery tools like recuva (http://www.piriform.com/recuva ) or this one (http://lifehacker.com/393084/how-to-recover-deleted-files-with-free-software ). There are other recovery tools you can use (http://www.myfixlog.com/fix.php?fid=27 ). Refer this link for an other solution (http://www.asoftech.com/articles/fix-memory-card-not-formatted-error.html ). Once you recover your data, try reformatting it again. If none of these work, its time to get a new memory card.
