I've had my lenovo laptop since November/ December and my house got robbed around February-March time. My laptop was left open on the floor and was stepped on halfway on the screen and halfway on the keyboard. I believe that it was damaged somehow at that time bu it wasn't apparent. During the past month, I started seeing screen problems and I wanted to see if I could get it fixed or refunded. But the thing is Costco only has a 90 day return policy for electronics. So even if i can't refund it should contact costco services or lenovo.
Lenovo laptop costco warranty. Who do i contact to get help, the manufacturer or costco?
There's no way you can get a refund anyway, since it was damaged by a person and did not have a computer error or similar
It depends who issued the warranty. Standard manufacturers warranty of 12m will be from Lenovo, if there was an extended warranty (that you pay extra for) this might be from Costco or Lenovo you don't say.
If it turned out that it was Accidental damage it wouldn't be covered by a standard warranty. However there's no reason you can't send it to Lenovo support for a repair quote.
Your manufacturers warranty doesn't cover your laptop being stepped on by someone robbing your house. That's what homeowners insurance is for.
It's Lenovo or local technician. Costco is out of it because the 90 days are over.
btw, if the damage is due to the intruder -- that's not covered under your warranty -- file claim with homeowner's [renters] insurance
