Everything is plugged in- power for both devices, as well as data cord laptop->printer. Laptop says the driver/software is current. So why is my document not printing?
Lenovo laptop, HP printer. But the doc isn't printing. Why?
When you print make sure your printer is listed on the print screen. You could be "printing" to a pdf file.
Go to Control Panel / Printers.Right click on Printer icon. On drop-down menu left click Set as Default Printer (Use Printer Online)
Hi so you need to download the software for the computer and the printer.
1) it could be stuck in the print queue which can't find the printer. 2) you could be sending it to a completely different Printer like the print to a file type of printer usually called XPS writer or something similar.so Check just before you HIT the PRINT and see what the actual PRINTER name you are printing too actually is correct. *** so why would '1' happen, well your HP may have an IP address and it may have CHANGED(there are several reasons for that). Or sometimes you just tried to print something and it just couldnt manage it, so it clogged up the Queue which is now STALLED. You can manually STOP and START the SPOOLER service which should reset(empty) the queue and it may start working again. Try the spooler thing.se the workaround in the link below. See if that works.previous attempts at printouts will be lost.
