Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E531 is randomly closing my browser?

I'm not a technical perosn and sorry I don't know all the terms. I'm really, really hoping someone can help me get this touchpad under control… It's driving me crazy! I've been a Lenovo/IBM laptop fan for years and this has been my least favorite model by far.

I use the Pointing stick to move the cursor on the screen and the touchpad only for clicking. I've tried different settings with this touchpad and none of them are good. I miss the separate left and right click buttons on the previous models. This one has the rectangular touchpad and you have to click it in the PERFECT spot on the left or right or it won't do what you want. Sometimes I have to hit it witha little force to get it to acknowledge I'm trying to left or right click. I'm going to end up break it.

The worse issue (and I hope someone knows what to do here) is the browser keeps shutting down if I accidentally move the cursor to the top/right corner and sweep through that area. I'm using the pointing stick to move the cursor and just laying my hand slightly on the ouchscreen (but applying NO pressure) and it shuts down whatever webpage I'm reading if the cursor accidentally moves over into that corner. It happens at least once a day, then I have to open a new browser and locate the site I was on.

I'm tempted to think the touchscreen is set to a sensitive setting that's the problem BUT I have hit the touch screen with a little force to get it to right or left click. So I don't think changing the sensi

It could be that your browser just crashed. Or it could be that you tapped the touchpad and it clicked on its own in the X button. Do you own a real mouse? You can ask your parents to by you a mouse, it won't close on its own in the top right corner. Did this help or can I improve my answer?
