Now I've had this problem since the laptop came and i've found multiple people with the same problem. The game (which is every game i play) freezes for like a second every 10-20 seconds and it can become quite frustrating. Now they said its the 1TB hdd with 8 gb ssd which is a sshd. They say it is sending cache between each other causing the pause in the game or program you are using. A program called quiethdd muffles some of the pausing as well but still does it. Now if I were to swap out the sshd with this ssd http://www.amazon.com/...00RQA6M5Y/ would it fix the annoying pausing in all my games.

Lenovo y70 touch laptop freezing while game play?
Curious… I have to ask this… What drive is C drive. The hard drive I would gather is C drive… Now where is this game installed? I ask this because some games need to be installed on the C drive ( the drive with your OS on it )…
Also have to ask… Is the laptop getting hot while you game play? You might consider a cooling pad.
Also. Have to ask… These games you mention… Are these games that require a lot of i5 processor power… Cause if you doing facebook / twitter / instagram / skype while blowing a ton of game info into the i5 processor… You could be pushing that processor to a point where even the slightest normal OS operation can cause a freeze.a skip…
Have you tried playing these games with no other programs running?
Yes, the hard drive is the c: drive and the game is team fortress 2 which can be played on a toaster. The game booster i have exits all programs and shuts down alot of backround features as well and still getting the annoying pause. I have nothing open.
