My laptop is lenovo. Its config. Is Win 7 SP1, Intel Core i5-3317U 1.7GHz, 4GB RAM, 320GB HDD. My problem here is when i try to play a movie from my hard drive on vlc on fullscreen, the video gets choppy. I can hear audio repeating itself and no video there. And system hang up…

Does it play in other media players? Does this happen on more than one video? Does it play when VLC is NOT full-screen? Does the video get choppy or does it not display at all (you indicated both)? When is the last time you could play videos successfully? What changes of note can you remember that have been made to the system (hardware and software) since then? Do you have any codec packs installed? Have you tried reinstalling VLC player? Have you tried updating your graphics drivers?
