My Lenovo laptop is refusing to connect to Wi-Fi

My Lenovo laptop is refusing to connect to Wi-Fi - 1

Added (1). My Laptop is Lenovo think pad edge E420 & is few years old. A few days ago, it just dropped Wi-Fi & has refused to reconnect since. Troubleshoot says "detected router access point". I shut down & restarted comp, deleted unnecessary programs, potential viruses, rebooted router, changed location, deleted teredo but nothing. I deleted & reentered Wi-Fi network but nothing. Network drivers are working too. Otherwise laptop is working well. Other gadgets are connected to Wi-Fi fine. Please help!

Does anything else connect? Try unplugging the Wi-Fi, turn off the computer… Wait 5 minutes and power everything back up… Sometimes it works if you don't power off the computer, but might as well do everything

you should also plug into the modem/router and see if it works hardwired

Double-check your pass phrase

Reinstall Wi-Fi drivers.

Make sure you FORGET and previously connected Wi-Fi. Then rejoin, so it makes you retype the Wi-Fi passkey. If it still will not connect then your Wi-Fi and your router are too different.
