My Lenovo Thinkpad R61 won't start?

I've tried Startup Repair and it says that windows can't fix the problem automatically. What else can I do? Is it possible it's a hardware problem?

Could be
Run diagnostics, that will be f9 f12 or f2. On boot up that will check the hard disk.
And memory.
If nothing shows up then it is most likely a reinstall of windows sadly.
