I just got the laptop (Lenovo Thinkpad E550) and as soon as i turned it on it started making a small noise. Its either coming from the fan or the hard drive. It happens when the laptop turns on and after a while it goes away but it makes the same noise every couple of seconds. Its like a squeaky noise.

If you use it on your lap its most likely the hard drive, and its fine. If you use it on a desk and it makes the noise you just need to learn to live with it if its the hard drive. The more likely problem is that its the fan. If its the fan just oil it, you can get it cheap at the store or order it online.
