On my laptop the dislpay adapters won't work. Tried to update but i just get an error message?

Added (1). I have a lenovo G550 and use windows vista. I wen't to device manager and tried to up date it. Mobile intel[R] 4 series epress chipset family

Have you by any chance downloaded the correct drivers and installed them via Device Manager? What is your error code shown for the display adapter(s)?

Update: You should always download drivers from trusted sources that have the correct updated versions for your display adapter. It's possible that you downloaded one that was either incompatible, obsolete or a glitch had occurred. Try looking at your manufacture's support page for driver downloads.

We can't really answer unless we know the make and model of your laptop, which Windows version is on it, etc. We need to know these things so someone with that experience can help you.
