The specs are i7 4720HQ 2,6 ghz (up to 3,4 I think) and the gtx 960m 4gig gpu and 8 gig ram, will it be safe or okay to overclock the graphics card in msi afterburner to get n little bit more performance for lets say 2 to 4 hours of gaming like gta 5 online and far cry 4?

You can't overclock that CPU. It is a locked CPU. CPUs with the suffix 'K' are unlocked and therefore able to be overclocked. It does have turboBoost, but it's managed by itself and it's only for temporary bursts of speed, based off thermal and processor headroom. The same goes for your GPU. If it is not unlocked, then you can't overclock it.

Overclock a laptop?>… Haha… With what… You can't cool off the processor ( it's a laptop… Not a gaming desktop tower computer ). You can't cool off the video card.( it is a laptop, not a gaming desktop tower computer ). And if it was a true gaming laptop… It would not be a lenovo… It would have cost you around $1500 - $2000 dollars…

You can't overclock laptop CPU. The CPU will boost itself when required using "Turbo Boost" technology
