I got this new Lenovo laptop with 6GB of RAM already in, but I don't know how many slots it provides. All I know, is that the RAM is DDR3L, and I have an old laptop which is a Samsung Notebook dual core i3 with 4GB of ram. I don't know if it's DDR3L, but given if the Lenovo has more than 2 slots for RAM, would I be able to take the other 4GB of RAM from the old computer and insert them in an additional 2 slots in my new computer? The max RAM capacity my computer says it can hold is 12, so if I add on another 4 I should have 10GB of RAM. Would this be okay?
Safe to insert/replace RAM? (Lenovo G50 with 2.00GHz and 6GB RAM)?

It has to be DDR3 or it will not fit.
There should be a sticker on it with the info about it.
I needs to be the same speed too.
Look at the pictures. There's a notch in different places for all types of RAM, sou you can't install the wrong type.
