I already have a Lenovo Y510P which I use for gaming, but I was wondering if i should buy an apple laptop for college. The reason I'm contemplating the purchase of an apple laptop is because I have been told it is very efficient and is very hard to get a virus on.

I would say get one. An apple laptop would be good for college and school work. I know these cause the high school I went to had all Apple products for our computer labs.

MBA is pretty good for college because of lightweight and long battery life. It is very efficient because it can also run window in bootcamp and also got great apps. Well, Mac OS X don't even need anti-virus software because its kernel is the most secure operating systems available and majority of the viruses are built for window platform.
