Should i trade in my laptop?

I bought a brand new acer aspire r14 last week, it gb 1 terabyte, touch screen, Intel I5 and can run at 60 frames per second. I was thinking of trading it in for another laptop like the Lenovo y40 which is a gaming computer for 600$. I kinda want to use it for school but at the same time I'm a video game nerd and like to play a lot of games. I'm not sure if my acer can run good games or not but is it worth trading it in for this Lenovo y40?
