I didn't think it did when i bought it but it has something that looks like a cd drive on the side with no eject button

Lenov0 , akes more than one model of laptop unser the "ideapad" line. Whether it has a CD (are more likely a DVD) drive will depend on which model you purchased. YOu will need to check the specs on line for the specific model you purchased.

Some do and some do not if you have one that has a CD drive you can click on the icon which says my computer or this PC and if there's a CD or dvd it'll be on the list and you can right click on the icon and push the button that says eject and it will pop open if it has a door that pops open some of them you simply insert the disc through the little slot

Even if it doesn't, it's not too big of a deal. You can buy a relatively inexpensive external optical drive that connects via USB.
I bought an LG USB based Blu-Ray drive on eBay for around $30 a couple of years ago and it works great.
