Now in the window in the corner that shows the view from my laptop, it just shows black. I went into Skype settings, into camera settings, it's still just black.
The little white light next to the camera still lights up but there's no picture. How can I fix it?
Added (1). If it makes any difference the laptop is a Lenovo B50-30.
On laptops there's usually a button assigned to one of the F1-F12 keys, try pressing that while holding the Fn button, if it still doesn't work after pressing the button, then try uninstalling and re-installing skype, hope I helped.
Try uninstalling the driver of the web cam, by going to computer>right click > manage > and devices> and find the web cam and right click and uninstall it and restart the computer
Do what the other suggested, however if no better it probably has died
