What do you guys think about the specs on this laptop? - 1

(Referring to the one that is $899)

I want to use this laptop for gaming and for personal use. Will this laptop be able to play some of the new gen games? Like Watch Dogs, Batman Arkham Knight, GTA 5 (potentially). For how long will this laptop be relevant before the gaming market gets too good for its video card, processor etc. I do realize that some of the spec details for these games haven't been realized yet, but what are the chances that this laptop could run them at a sufficient level.

I would like for the games to run at least medium settings.

I had interest in the Y510p too as well. The thing that I liked about it was the SLI capability. The laptop is very affordable to it's specs. The Gt 755m is able to run most games on the market today at about med-high settings. Some games require more power than other games.

From my point of view, the intel i7 can go on for generations of gaming. But the 755m, however, is going to be overrun by future video cards that are better and more efficient.

The link below shows benchmarks of your graphics card.

Hope this helps!

Only get this PC for the sli. DO NOT purchase the single card version. Otherwise, one of the best desktop replacement laptops available for the money.

We actually have this laptop, my parents gave it to me for a gaming sort of computer as they upgraded to a MacBook Pro, it is a great laptop, I recommend it. Great laptop!
