What is a good laptop to get?

I'm getting a laptop for graduating high school and I don't know anything about hardware, software etc. I was wondering if there's any laptops out there that are good for playing some pretty good quality games (i.e. Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, Left 4 Dead 2, Sniper Elite V2 etc.) but also good to use for like class and stuff since I'll be using it in college soon. Fortunately, the games you list aren't too demanding. Most modern laptops exceed those specs.
With regards to brands, your best bets are Lenovo, Asus, HP, and Samsung.
Beyond that I would suggest an AMD A8, A10 or an Intel i5 processor.
