You want something with a lot of power. If you're doing 3D rendering that's fairly resource demanding. Video editing is one of the most resource demanding processes a person can do on a computer. 3D rendering is up there as well. Some more powerful the computer the faster it's going to compile your projects.
The course should be able to suggest minimum system requirements needed.

Just look for the top cpus as you need them for multitasking. I7 seems very good. Also a good graphic card. Moreover, look for as much as possible RAM. You need also enough hard drive space.
