What laptop should I get for college?

I need a new laptop for college. I've been looking at windows ones, I just don't really like macs and I use them before and I just don't like them. I have an 11in netbook now and I think that I would want a bigger screen for college, and after looking at screens, I think that 14in is the largest i'd go, and a 13in screen would be ideal. I do want one with a touch screen because I heard that Windows 8 is a much better experience with a touchscreen. With a coupon I was able to get that laptop for around $700, though i'm wondering if i need one like that, with all the different modes and if i'm actually going to be using it. Any other suggestions?

Depends, Do you want a Long lasting battery life, If you do, Get a Sony Vaio fit 15, It Has a Touch screen and a 7 hour Battery life.

Hard to go wrong with a Toshiba. And look for long battery life.

It really depends on what you want to do with it. If you're just taking notes, virtually any thin laptop would do it.
Also, if you're buying online, do it directly from the manufacturer's website. They're cheaper. (see source)
