I have a lenovo T430 laptop and I connected an Apple keyboard to the laptop(Laptop keyboard kinda crappy). However, the computer asks that I connect it to generic usb hub-port 0001 hub 0001 for optimal performance. Where is that?

Is your external keyboard plugged in to a USB hub or directly plugged in to the USB on your laptop? Make sure it's not on any hub and try again. If it's directly on the computer already, try a different USB jack. Specifically, if it is plugged in to a USB 3.0, plug it in to a USB 2.0. Try updating the driver.
Other than that, I've got nothing.
