By the Technical specs the maximum RAM the Lenovo IdeaPad Z510 can address is 8GB.
If you do put more than 8GB in, it is possible the laptop will not load.

Hi only one way sell the current laptop and buy a desktop that is because you want to game with it and laptops where never meant to game with.

Your laptop has a limitation of 8GB as a maximum for the amount of RAM it can account for.
On another note, what would be your reason for the upgrade in memory? If you're experiencing poor gaming, then consider updating your graphics card as 8GB of RAM is normally more than apt for your system while gaming.
