My Lenovo laptop currently has a 1 tb SSHD I was wondering if it would be snappier if I put an SSD in there?
Which is faster: SSD or SSHD?

SSD.
An SSD is "pure" semiconductor memory [flash] and there are no differences in access time regardless of where in it the data is located.
An SSHD or Hybrid drive is a mechanical disk drive (HDD) with relatively small amount of flash memory as a cache for the most frequently used data such as the indexes and boot files.
That gives quite a good speed up compared to a conventional drive, without putting the cost up much - but it's still nowhere near as fast as a "pure" SSD in overall use, as the majority of data still needs fetching from the magnetic disk and that takes vastly longer than just reading from an SSD.
