Which is the better laptop?
I'd go with Lenovo. Better quality than Asus. Check around though on other sites and read reviews so you can be sure of what is best.

Donald Trump has been somewhat successful in making imports more expensive and the $300 best laptops of few months ago are now pushing $400. Asus makes very good mid to high priced laptops but their cheap ones are problem ridden. Lenovo, like Acer, Dell, HP, in these low end are only branded by label and who to call for service. They don't design or produce cheap laptops.
The Asus X541NA series consistently gets bad ratings so the Lenovo is better.
However, allow me to show you what $40+tax more buys.
Walmart $290 you show.

The Intel seems to be faster overall, but reviews of that laptop seem to be low ratings compared to the Lenovo.
Hard to find details about the Lenovo specs, like does it have USB 3.0, HDMI output and so on?
