Which laptop better: Toshiba or Lenovo?

I need to buy laptop. My choice is between these two. Price exactly same for both:

- Lenovo: G570.

Specs:

Intel Core i5 - 2430M
2.4 GHZ
4 GB DDR3 RAM
500 HDD
15.6" HD Bright View
64 MB
HDMI + 3 USB
Win7 Home Basic (64bit)

Toshiba:

C660-24E

Almost same specs as above, but with Core i3:

Intel Core i3
4 GB RAM
320 HDD
Win7 Home Premium (64 bit).

Which one would you recommend. I know that Toshiba is big name in the laptop business, but the Core i5 makes quite difference, I think!

Lenovo are the retail brand name for what was IBM's laptop division and you don't get any bigger in the computer world than IBM!

The Windows 7 Home Basic has no support for Aero or other bells and whistles that make windows 7 look so pretty. Your right the i5 cpu is better than the i3 but the i3 cpu is fine for most tasks and plenty powerful for office software, internet and media software.

I wouldn't recommend buying any machine with Win 7 Home Basic but i think you have your info wrong because Basic doesn't support 4GB RAM and doesn't come in 64bit version [only 32bit version] the Lenovo G570 advertised here has Win 7 Home Premium 64bit: http://www.expertreviews.co.uk/laptops/1285357/lenovo-g570/specifications

Go for Lenovo because it is using i5 and hard disk is much bigger than toshiba. Lenovo is also good brand. This is the former IBM laptop. They changed only their name.
