I want to buy a gaming laptop to play the latest games like GTA 5 or need for speed or BF4. I came across a Lenovo laptop with a i7 procossor, 8 GB RAM and 2GB Nvidia GeForce 840M GPU. Is it enough to run these games
Which laptop would be best for gaming?
Generally speaking, Laptops are NOT good for High End Games. They overheat.
The i7 CPU when installed in a laptop is scaled down so it will not over heat.
There's one laptop that is made for high end games with special ventilation but it costs a lot of money.
Dell Alienware
8gb of ram is enough, you can easily play these games smoothly without lag.
You have a powerful processor, so you don't need to worry about doing multiple tasks while you are playing. One thing you need to know is that, over time your laptop will generate registry which can cause your laptop to slow down, make sure your install a registry cleaner.
8GB of ram is fast enough for everything to work smooth.
Processor and ram are good… Your video card is better then the minimum spec for the game… As for the middle and high end specs the geforce gtx 660 / gtx 750… You card can't even come close ( the gtx 660 and the gtx 750 will blow your doors off )
So-o-o-o… You a tad better then minimum… Barely a tad better… Yeah-h-h-h-h you can try the game… Low low low settings… But you still might be disappointed…
Don't buy a Lenovo, I bought one and it has adware pre-installed on it (Superfish).
