Will the Acer V15 Nitro last for at least 5 years?

So, I've been reading a bunch about how lots of Acer products die after 2 years, among other problems. Will that be a problem for the V15 even though its high end for Acer? I'm looking for a laptop for college (2016), and I want it to be light and durable, but also have enough power to play games like Skyrim or BF4 on med-high settings (games will still be a minor part of usage though).
We have an 5 year old Acer Aspire, but now it's really slow and I think I might've fried something when I tried to play Supreme Commander on it a couple times. That was the reason I didn't want to consider Acer, but the V15 seems nice.

The other one that I'm looking at is the Lenovo Y50, but I liked the Acer better for now.

Laptops usually last for 5 to 7 years. Your old Acer laptop lasted for 5 years and is still working perfectly

Technology is advancing very fast - especially computing hardware & software technology. Now, there are SSD's, fast & low power consuming processors and larger hard drives. People telling that Acer products last for 2 years is false - in my opinion

The Acer V15 Nitro laptop will last more than 5 years. There's built-in dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M graphics card, which will play Battlefield 4 at high settings at around 82 fps and many more games at medium to high settings. Open graphic card specifications at http://www.notebookcheck.net/...006.0.html and scroll down to "Game Benchmarks"

You can buy the laptop at http://www.amazon.com/...00WJSQRNK/

All computers will LAST many years, often decades.
The problem is the Hardware Features, and Software will be obsolete.
I have a Laptop that I bought back in 1986 still working.

The US Internal Revenue Service puts a "life" at Five years for purposes of Business Depreciation. This allows Big Companies to buy new every five years. Which keeps the economy going. You may notice stores doing replacements of perfectly good shelving and other equipment every five years whether they need it or not.
