I want a windows laptop that's as sturdy as macbooks. Any suggestions? Macbooks are known to last for years. Any windows alternatives?

Lenovo or HP, yes - but not a Yoga. Or Envy.

Buy a business-grade machine. They are far more robust than ANY consumer-grade model. Made with better components (better case, better hinges, better connectors, tougher screen), made with more care in the factory, more tested in the factory, much longer lifetime. Isn't that because they are less useful, and so get used less? Isn't that because the software gets out of date and is no longer supported, so the hardware lasts well?

They far outlast Mac and apple there are old IBM Lenovo's on eBay still going strong that have 1995 on them! I've never seen a Mac last like that.

The best brand is to take care. Computers can last a lot more if they are not overheated too often, and are dusted once a year or two. Keep your laptop vents unobstructed by clothes, especially in summer.
