Would this laptop be decent for gaming?

Lenovo IdeaPad 110 Laptop- Intel Core i5-6200U, 15.6 Inch, 500GB, 4GB, Win 10

Processor Type: Core i5 (6th Generation)
Number of Processor Core: Single Core
Processor Speed (GHz): 2.1 - 2.5 GHz
RAM Size: 4 GB
Graphics Card Capacity: Shared - Built in

I currently use a macbook air (early 2015). Would this be better for gaming than the macbook?

No it wouldn't - it has built in graphics and a minimal amount of RAM, ideally you need a separate graphics chips and 8GB RAM

No, mostly because it only has integrated graphics. This means the graphics processor is built into the CPU, and isn't very powerful. Now this does keep the cost, power consumption and heat down (all good things) and is plenty good enough for regular computing tasks, but it's 3D graphics performance for games is rather sad.

If you want a gaming laptop you need to look at the Lenovo Y series machines which have a dedicated graphics chip built in. Of course these cost more, especially for the high end ones.

Or keep your Macbook for portable, and buy a mini-tower gaming desktop that can house a full size GPU.
