I'm looking at buying a Lenovo Y700 and am wondering if it is possible in any way to upgrade the graphics card.
Lenovo Y700 graphics card upgrade?

No… You might be able to add more ram… Add a bigger hard drive… But graphic card… No…

Yes.
Take off the back cover.
Remove the Wi-Fi card from the mini-PCIe slot in its motherboard.
Hack a slot in the back cover for a 2 inch flat cable, or use the empty space for the absent DVD drive.
Get the kit of cable and PCIe slot for external use. (Or get a preassembled box with slot and power supply.)
Plug that in and assemble laptop.
Buy a PC box power supply and a desktop video card. Assemble and power an external monitor.
Only about $500-$900 and there you go with 6 to 10X the video performance of the laptop alone.
