Lenovo z50 good for gaming?

The z50 is not good for gaming. You should be looking for a laptop that has a dedicated GPU rather than an integrated one for more performance. I recommend the Lenovo Y series for a more adequate gaming laptop. Games like BF4 and GTA 5 are rather demanding especially GTA 5 where you need a solid amount of VRAM. When looking for a gaming machine, look more for a powerful GPU rather than a powerful CPU.

Everybody has different standards for gaming. The fact of the matter is that Intel 4400 graphics are keeping company with graphics cards that are 2 generations older. Despite this it is still considered a mid-range graphics option and will still handle older games without problems.

One downside of integrated graphics is that if they die you have to replace the whole motherboard which can be a costly option. The AMD APUs such as the A-10 series offer much better gaming graphics and the graphics processors are part of the CPU chip so if either dies it is a simple matter of replacing the chip in the socket.
