My hardrive suddenly stopped working, bios doesn't detect it, should attempt to fix it and replace it on my lenovo edge 15 80k9?

If you are confident enough in taking out the old drive, replacing it with a new one then reinstalling the operating system (all new hard drives are blank) the go ahead, otherwise take it to a tech.
