How to delete app folders in Android Kitkat?

So I have upgraded my OS to Android 4.4.2 today (I'm using Lenovo S820) and while scrolling through the apps, I accidentally moved one app over another, creating a folder. I want to undo it now.

I've tried long pressing the apps (inside the folder) and move them on all parts of the screen to get them out, yet it isn't working. It is not going out of the folder. I have not seen trash bins or any signs indicating a way to remove the apps/folders.

Please, please help me to fix this. Would also appreciate if you teach me how to delete the app folders once I get the apps out.

Hmm… You tried long pressing one of the apps within the folder, then moving it outside the folder? (you have to hold the app outside the folder for a second before it'll exit out of the folder). And there's no trash bin icon at the top of the screen when you long press the folder? Was going to say you could just delete the folder with the apps inside, then just re-add the apps back onto your page individually, but if there's no trash bin then I'm not sure how you would do that?

Here's my strongest suggestion. I'm using a launcher that's available on the Play Store called GoLauncher. Download that and you'll be able to move the apps right out of folders, and there will be a trash bin icon at the top of your screen when you long press an app. It's a great launcher to have. Would recommend having it even if you weren't having problems.
