Which of these laptops is better?

Dell Inspiron https://www.bestbuy.com/...Id=5657248

Lenovo Yoga https://www.bestbuy.com/...Id=5722735

I like the Dell because it's CPU and RAM will let me play games with ease. I also like the bigger screen (i'm not picky about weight). But the Lenovo's SSD and Intel Processor seems more relialbe.

As for the Lenovo's touch screen and tablet-fold, I'm not really interested. I could take it or leave it

If you know of a laptop with SSD and intel processor but better RAM and processor speed than the Lenovo, please let me know.

It depends on what you're looking for.

The Dell has considerably more storage, considerably more RAM, and better graphics performance for games.

The Lenovo will have quicker boot times, quicker file transfer times, better battery life, and touch-screen/tablet functions.

The Intel i5 and AMD FX are comparable in terms of performance and reliability. The i5 is better with single-threaded applications, and the FX is better with multi-threaded applications and applications with large memory use.

SSD's are more reliable and have faster access times. That translates to faster booting, faster launching of programs, and faster transfer of files. But that comes at the cost of storage (the Dell literally has 8 times more), and mechanical hard drives are still pretty reliable. The speed of applications once they're launched will be as good or better on the Dell.

If I wanted a machine that would play games, store lots of files, run large, demanding programs, and get lots of continuous use I'd go with the Dell.

If I wanted a machine that doubled as a tablet, is used mostly for basic everyday applications, is going to be away from home more than it's at home, and is going to be used in several short bursts, I'd go with the Lenovo.

CPU and RAM do little for gaming.Gaming is mostly about the graphics processor.
1st one is secret specifications, "AMD FX", generally disappointing at a high $838.

Found the real spec's here, at an $829 price out of NY/NJ area

That's a little above an i3-7100U.
Dual graphics is somewhat effective when discrete and integrated are equal performance.

R7 Bristol Ridge is rank 226 (lower is stronger)
The r7 M445 is rank 215
Dual Graphics R8 M445DX is rated unstable and ranked worse at 279.
NVidia Geforce 940M beats it.
Performance Beat significantly by $540 15.6 and $636 17.3 Acer with i5-7200U Geforce 940MX, 8GB and either 1TB or 256GB SSD

The Yoga takes the Acers and removes the graphics card, using the 256GB SSD and the 15.6" size.

The dell has an fx 9800p processor with Radeon R8 M445DX Dual Graphics… The Lenovo only has intel hd graphics 620… So you do have a slight edge with the R8…
16 gig of ram vs 8… Nothing to figure out there… Of course 16 gig
2T hard drive vs 256gig ssd… Again a no brainer… 2T hard drive… I mean big whoop the OS takes 20 seconds longer to load…

The Lenovo has an i5 7200U processor… The dell has an fx 9800p… The 9800p has about-t-t-t-t a 10% advantage…

So… Me? I'd get the Dell…
