Which computer should i buy? Computer science major?

My schooll has no requirements, and i have a budget of around $1200, but obviously the cheaper the better. I was looking at these three right now.

Also the 13 inch macbook pro with retina is an option. I'm open to suggestions!

If you're majoring in computer science, and not computer design, stay away from anything with an Apple on it. Mac are just not built to handle writing code. I got stuck working on one for 5 years when I was with a company that was Mac-only, and it was a nightmare.

Macs are also prime targets for theft on college campuses because their resale value is so much higher than PCs. Unless you're planning on watching it 24/7, you're just asking for trouble.

Now, as far as your other choices go… I've never much cared for Acer hardware, to be honest (I like Asus and Toshiba better). But if you're going to buy one, go for the one with the larger screen and hard drive (V7-582PG-6854). It has a slightly slower CPU, but at those specs, you'll never notice it.

I don't know much about the Lenovo Flex personally, but I've heard mixed reviews.
