Will moto g continue to get future android updates?

As lenovo has bought Motorola

Per OHA (open handcent alliance, a group composed of world wireless carriers and OEMs and Google), all android phones will receive the lastest android update within 18 months of device launch date if Google makes an update within those 18 months. After that, the OEMs and carriers are no longer obliggated to make an andriod update… However, geeks and nerds can always make custom ROMs if they can program linux, Java, and HTML. CyanogenMod does this…

example… Take Mototola RAZR original… Launched 11-11-2011… Started with gingerbread… Got ICS… And then ended with Jelly bean… Why? Cause all of those android updates came out from Google within 18 months of 11-11-2011… This means RAZR original won't get KitKat 4.4… Why? Cause KK released after those first 18 months… Therefore, Moto is not obligated to update the RAZR, even though its CPU and RAM can still run KK… So, geeks and ners who still rock and love the RAZR made KK for it…

so… There are options… 1) stock ROM per OHA… Or 2) take matter into your own hands and root and get a custom ROM

FYI-------google bought Motorla is 2 separate companies… MOBILITY and SOLUTIONS… Your talking about MOBILITY here, now known as Moto… Google bought Moto in mid 2012 due to its patents and inventions… In early 2014, Google sold Moto to Lenovo, after securing those Patents and inventions. Google keeps those, gets paid $3 billion, while Lenovo gets the Moto logo and 75% of existing patents… Its like the 1990s of trading ownership of something with your sibling… I don't want this cd player anymore, but I love its earphones… So here, you keep the cd player and i keep the headphones… Same deal, different anology.

Why do you worry about who is the owner of Mogo G. Once you buy a mobile
is supposed to feed you with all kinds of updates as long as that phone is in
service as per the company.
