Can't get new SSD to recognize in computer? - 1

Added (1). I just bought a Crucial mx200 500gb ssd M.2 Type 2280 and I can't get it to register on my computer so I can clone my original hard drive to this one. I have a lenovo yoga 2 13 For some reason it only recognizes it as a mass removable media storage device and thats it. Dis management recognizes it but I don't have to option to format it. I tried to boot from BIOS to see if it was recognized there but no luck either. Any ideas?

Call Crucial for the customer support that you have paid for.
Best guess from no information from you on what operating system you use.

Follow these steps if you are having issues desktop's SSD recognition:

Remove, reseat, and double check the connections
If your SSD is installed externally (or internally using a drive bay or enclosure) try plugging the SSD into the SATA port directly using a SATA cable.
If that does not work, try a different SATA cable. Plug the cable into a different color SATA port on the motherboard.
Make sure the old drive still works. If not, go reinstall with the old drive, checking all connections
If the old drive still works, but the new SSD does not, try it in a different system if possible.
If the drive works in a different system, update to the latest firmware and try in your desktop again
Check to make sure your system has the latest BIOS installed.
