I bought the new lenovo y-40. The expensive on with 1 TB and 8 GBssd. It has an AMD radeon r9 m275x GPU then it has a intel family HD graphics and a intel i-7. Do i not have control on how to work the GPU?

You will have to "activate " it via BIOS, before your computer boots press f2 or DEL. Then tell it to use PCIE instead of IGPX
