GeForce GT 755 vs AMD Radeon HD 6950?

I currently use a desktop computer for gaming. It has one AMS Radeon HD 6950. I'm going to be switching to a gaming laptop soon. One of the options I'm looking at (Lenovo Y510p) has a GT755M graphics card.

I'm basically just wondering if I will see a big difference between the two. The 6950 seems to handle all of the games that I play, so I don't want my next card to be worse or (unnecessarily) much better. I just don't know enough about all of the different variables to compare the two. Thoughts? And any thoughts about the Y510p in general?

The y510p is a nice laptop but if only has one 755, you will get quite a bit less performance. However, if you get dual 755's in sli, you should be ok. With only one 775 i would expect to play most games on lower to medimum settings.

The GT755m is actually a downgrade in performance.
