Laptop or desktop for gaming?

Laptop or desktop
my brothers are currently building on our house so it is likely that electricity could be disabled that actually happened 3-5 times but rarely happen and i don't like that so in this case a laptop will help

but the desktop could be upgraded later and so much cheaper

as for buying it
first of all i don't trust websites ok? Don't give me links
and i'm afraid i will be stuck with half of the parts and not able to find others

my budget is $2600
keep in mind shops might take more than the parts

simply a desktop or laptop

MAKE SURE YOU READ All OF THE ABOVE OR YOUR ANSWER IS POINTLESS AND WON'T Help AT ALL

Added (1). there was no need for earning points spam

if you have something to say just say it if you don't why say something will not help at all to give yourself a few points?

and as for the afraid of not being able to get all the parts as i said i'm going to find parts in shop by shop near me

MAKE SURE YOU READ All OF THE ABOVE OR YOUR ANSWER IS POINTLESS AND WON'T Help AT All Definitely a desktop. You will get much better performance for your money and it can be upgraded. If the disabled electricity situation is a problem, ask your brothers to give you a couple minutes of warning. If they can't/won't, get a UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply), which will provide power for a few minutes to give you time to save/disconnect. Unfortunately, building a desktop is the best option, and the best way to do so is to order them from online. If you have a Micro Center or Fry's in your area this is acceptable, but DO NOT buy from Best Buy. They have terrible selection and pricing. If you can't get to Micro Center or Fry's, buy from Newegg or TigerDirect. If you absolutely can't build a desktop, do not buy any desktop from the following brands: Alienware, Apple, Dell, HP, Acer, ASUS, Gateway, or Lenovo. Use boutique builders such as CyberPowerPC, iBuyPower, or Xidax. Comment if you need more info, mark as best answer if it helped. I was going to help… BUT I DON;T TRUST WEBSITES… Can't look it up… Wht do you mean your afraid to be stick with parts and not find others you order then all at once I would help but you don't seem like a very nice person I bet your like a 13 year old
